Blue Marsh Lake — LEESPORT, PA – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District has announced various areas will be closed for public access due to paving and construction activities involved with the rehabilitation of park roadways.
Areas to be affected by closures include:
• Visitor Center and Administration Area
• Stilling Basin Access, including the Blue Marsh Lake Trail and Mountain Bike Skills Area
• Dry Brooks Day Use Area, including all facilities within the Day Use Area including the swim beach, pavilions, the Eyes of the Eagle Sensory Trail, and bathroom buildings.
• Blue Marsh Lake Trail between the Dry Brooks Boat Ramp and Water Road. Active trail resurfacing will be occurring from the Stilling Basin to Water Road with recycled millings from the paving projects.
The closures will begin April 11, 2025 through May 18, 2025. Park Areas will reopen as projects are completed.
Additionally, during this time period there will be a temporary closure of the Blue Marsh Lake Trail at the Mount Pleasant Bridge for PennDOT paving operations between April 21, 2025 through May 09, 2025.
Boat Ramps and other park access areas will not be affected by this closure. Park visitors are asked to not walk into closed areas or trail sections for their safety and worker safety.
