Illegal sand and gravel mining in the Tashkent region caused more than 3.5 billion soums of damage to nature. This was reported by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.
It is noted that the Tashkent regional Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, together with the regional Internal Affairs Department’s post-patrol service, conducted another night raid in the Piskent district.
During the raid, it was revealed that sand and gravel mixtures were being excavated using a loader in the old bed of the Ahangaron River, which flows through the Piskent district and loaded onto a HOWO truck.
It was revealed that the violation caused 3 billion 696 million 204 thousand 960 soums of damage to nature.
The collected documents on the case are being sent to the prosecutor’s office for legal assessment. The vehicles involved have also been placed in a penalty area in the Piskent district.
We would like to remind you that in August 2024, more than 87 billion soums of damage was caused to nature as a result of illegal sand and gravel mining in the Tashkent region.
