Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure announced a possible starting time of dredging on the Dnipro River. According to the Minister, dredging may start in autumn 2016.
UkrAgroConsult reminds that dredging on Dnipro was scheduled to begin in summer 2015, but due to delays in obtaining permits last year, the works have not started yet. At the beginning of 2016 the state-owned company “Ukrvodput” informed about its plans to carry out dredging on Dnipro in the second quarter of 2016 and complete all works until the end of the year.
It means that this year dredging on Dnipro has been postponed again.
UkrAgroConsult believes that this year agricultural enterprises will not be able to take full advantage of the opportunity to deliver grain by river transport.
