In the next year and a half, Long Beach residents could see a plan take shape that could tear down or otherwise modify the massive breakwater that sits offshore.
About 50 people attended a community meeting at Bixby Park Community Center Thursday afternoon hosted by Mayor Robert Garcia and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which is leading a three-year study formally known as the East San Pedro Bay Ecosystem Restoration Study.
