U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Awards Contract for Maintenance Dredging of the Long Island Intracoastal Waterway at Shinnecock Bay, valued at $2,2 million to H&L Contracting LLC

NEW YORK, NY -The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New York District, is pleased to announce the awarding of a contract for the Maintenance Dredging of the Long Island Intracoastal Waterway Federal Navigation Project at Shinnecock Bay, Suffolk County, New York. The contract, valued at $2,259,700.00, was awarded to H&L Contracting LLC.

This essential maintenance project is designed to ensure the continued safe and efficient navigation of the Long Island Intracoastal Waterway at Shinnecock Bay. The dredging will remove accumulated sediment from the navigation channel, restoring it to its authorized dimensions and improving water flow, which is crucial for both commercial and recreational vessels operating in the area.
