Santa Rosa County’s Tourist Development Council is hoping to postpone a nearly $15 million restoration of Navarre Beach set to begin this spring, citing potentially detrimental impacts to the area’s tourism season.
Though the County Commission approved the contract with Weeks Marine Inc. for the project, set to begin in March and finish by June, members of the TDC voted Thursday to endorse a letter asking that the beach dredging be delayed until fall.
