With the aim of guaranteeing navigability and river and maritime transit, essential elements for the country’s economic development, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) today received three economic offers in the tender for maintenance dredging of the Paraguay River.
The interventions will be carried out in three strategic sections extending from the confluence with the Paraná River to the mouth of the Apa River. The first section, or Lot 1, covers the area from the confluence with the Paraná River to km 387; Lot 2, from km 387 to km 690; and Lot 3, from km 690 to the mouth of the Apa River.
Based on these references, the following proposals were submitted: Artes y Estructuras SA, which offered Lot 3 for G. 166,955,430,024; Tosa Terminal Occidental SA, which proposed to execute the three lots for G. 523,450,266,070; and Ingeniería de Topografía y Caminos SA, which also submitted an offer for the three lots with a total amount of G. 525,142,060,958.
Call for Bids No. 108/2025, corresponding to a National Public Tender, anticipates an estimated investment of G. 475 billion. The bids were received this afternoon in the auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), with the participation of representatives from the interested firms.
All received documentation is now under the custody of the Bid Evaluation Coordination Office, which reports to the Ministerial Cabinet, for technical and economic analysis. The Evaluation Committee will have 20 business days, extendable for another similar period, to issue its award recommendation.
