The EMYN wind farm has reached new spectacular milestones.
At sea and on land, the team is redoubling its efforts to bring one of France’s largest wind projects to fruition. Since this weekend, half of the wind turbines have been in place, marking a major milestone in the progress of the project.
Here are the latest developments
At sea: installations are accelerating
▪️ On June 14, all the foundations were successfully installed by DEME Group , thanks to the Innovation vessel. An operation carried out in three stages: drilling, installation of the monopile, then the transition piece.
▪️ On June 22, LOUIS DREYFUS TRAVOCEAN completed the installation of the 61st inter-turbine cable, nearly 90 km of cables laid since March 1.
▪️ 34 wind turbines are now in place and already producing renewable electricity!
On land: a strengthening local presence
▪️ Inaugurated in June, the operations and maintenance base is operational
▪️ The Local Information Office in La Barre-de-Monts is open every Wednesday afternoon to inform the public about the stages of the construction site, environmental measures and the companies involved.
Safety at sea: constant vigilance
▪️ A regulated zone remains active during the work, prohibiting navigation, fishing and swimming within a radius of 0.5 nautical miles around the park’s regulated zone.
▪️ Two vessels provide continuous surveillance 24 hours a day, in permanent contact with the maritime coordination teams.
