The Cashman Dredging and Dutra Group JV reaches another milestone in Boston Harbor improvement project— full speed says Army Corps of Engineers— 10 million cubic yards of material moved.
Cashman/Dutra joint venture is contracted by the Department of Defense performing essential work under the Governor’s Stay-at-home Advisory being able to continue dredging without delay despite the impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the country.
The dredging operators are complying with contagious disease guidelines to include social isolation and social distancing, ensuring CDC guidelines are being followed by the crews, and taking dredge workers’ body temperatures daily before boarding crew and heading to the dredges and scow barges. Personal Protective Equipment, to include masks and gloves, is available for each employee working. A full time 24/7 Site Safety Health Office is onboard the Western Hemisphere’s largest clam shell bucket dredge — Cashman’s DALE PYATT (pictured).
