The AAPA Latin American Delegation announcesthe new dates for its XXIX Congress

Posted on September 28, 2020

The AAPA LATINO, the annual port event par excellence in Latin America, is recognized as the main meeting point for more than 400 attendees who are involved in this essential activity within the international trade chain. The ports, together with their suppliers and clients, all gathered in one place, engaging in fascinating conversations and exchanging experiences: this is the AAPA LATINO.

Keeping in mind this added value, the responsibility and seriousness with which the organizers face an event of this nature, the XXIX Congress has been rescheduled for May 4 to 6 , 2021 while keeping Cartagena -Colombia- as its venue.

Thereby, port leaders, suppliers and international experts will be able to participate in an environment with certified conditions of total safety and tranquility for this new edition, which has the support of the American Association of Port Authorities and the Grupo Puerto de Cartagena. An event that aims to a top-level conference program, both in issues that have to do with day-to-day operations, as well as more in-depth analysis of the projects that set the industry’s agenda.

The Ports do not stop, and neither does the AAPA LATINO
As it became evident during these last months, the ports activity, the maritime transport and the foreign trade chain do not stop, assuming the key role that this industry plays within the economy.

Thus, the AAPA LATINO comes to reaffirm this position and the 2021 edition will address -with a clearer perspective at that time- the experiences from the key players of the field, the way they have faced such a complex year, and how they prepare for the future.

Additionally, experts will analyze the acceleration of the digital development and technological innovations that have been applied to the logistics chain, and how they have helped to increase productivity and facilitate operations.

Furthermore, the Congress will provide dynamic and discussion panels, where the main referents from shipping companies, port terminals, large customers and shippers will share their vision of the new rules that are necessary to adapt to a context of refounding.

Networking & Port visit
Besides the networking activities, the social events and its prominent space destined for the supplying companies exhibition, the event will provide a great opportunity to visit the host port, which has grown exponentially as a container hub on a continental level in the last few years, breaking all records and leading volumes in the region. Being there and meeting our host first hand will be a unique experience.

All these experiences will take place in an environment of outstanding beauty such as Cartagena, the colonial city located next to the Caribbean Sea.
