A massive clean-up is taking place along the Grand Union Canal in the Anglia region.
The Canal and River Trust is spending £650,000 on dredging silt and debris with the idea is of making navigation easier for canal users.
Seven miles of the Grand Union Canal is going to be dredged in an operation that takes place only once in 30 years.
The sediment which is dragged from the bed is rich in nutrients and will be used on nearby farmland.
