What are your company’s offerings and solutions for the Indian market? Which sectors do you cater to?
The Watermaster Eco-Dredger is a versatile machine for keeping waterbodies in good condition. It dredges excess sediment, clears pollution, removes invasive aquatic vegetation, opens blocked canals, and keeps waterways functional — all with one machine. Watermaster works independently in shallow, narrow and crowded areas where other machines cannot.
Thanks to these capabilities, Watermasters are already widely used in India — by government bodies responsible for flood control and inland waterways, by municipal authorities that maintain local waters, and by private operators who manage their own sites. Watermaster technology helps support water security across the country.
Why is India an important market for you?
India urgently needs more restoration and maintenance work in its waters. Population growth, fast-developing cities and heavier rains and longer droughts leave rivers, lakes, reservoirs and urban canals often polluted, clogged with invasive vegetation and filled with excess silt. Watermaster can help solve this.
Are there any highlights in the Indian market from the past few years that you would like to share?
The first Watermaster arrived in India 20 years ago, in Delhi. Since then, the use of Watermaster has grown steadily, and today the machines are working in several regions across the country, including Assam, Manipur, Jammu & Kashmir and Tamil Nadu. A new Watermaster is currently on its way to India and will begin cleaning the heavily polluted Yamuna River in January 2026.
What are your expectations for the next few years regarding your operations in India?
Watermaster will become more important in India in the coming years as more regions and companies strengthen their water management and water security. India belongs to our top priorities, and we are increasing the support we provide locally.
