Stationary Dredger SEEM 16-640ST « Milady » has Been Launched

Stationary dredger SEEM 16-640ST « Milady » with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure has been launched.at Merré shipyard.

Delivered in 2019, it is a stationary dredgerl built by Merré shipyard for the Services Industriels de Genève based in Switzerland.

The SEEM 16-640ST cutter suction dredger is designed by the Merré Design Office and will extract approximately 50000 m3 of material per year with a maximum of 800 m3 of solid sediment per day. This cutter suction dredger is therefore designed to pump and discharge materials 150 mm in diameter at a distance of 300 meters.

The concept of the SEEM 16-640ST cutter suction dredger allows her use on different localisations. It can also be transported by road on a different operating area because she can be taken to pieces.

Dredging is carried out by two crew members.

This stationary dredger is optimized and designed for dredging on the Rhone river.

The « Richelieu » multipurpose vessel recently delivered to her owner is also able to carry out the following works :

  • Dredger positionning on shallow waters and high stream areas,
  • Moving the dredger piping.

Merré shipyard has relied on several decades of experience in the construction of dredgers, pontoons, seagoing ships and river vessel in order to propose two tailor-made vessels to meet the specific needs of the Owner.
