TUCKERTON, NJ – The Tuckerton Borough is seeking a special assessment for dredging from residents that live on the eastside of Southern Green Street before September 30. The borough states on their website that they have been considering dredging the lagoons for many years. It seems that to get the project done an assessment will be necessary. The Borough has broken the assessment into three zones and are asking property owners who are adjacent to areas that need dredging to vote yay or nay regarding moving the process forward.
The letter to residents states the highest amount that property owners would need pay; the total cost of project from Engineers estimate attached Divided by the amount of homes per zone over the course of 10 years. The roads that may be effected by this letter are Kingfisher Rd, Heron Rd, Flamingo Rd, Curlew Rd, and Little Egg Harbor Blvd. The letter can be found on the official borough site.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Borough Administrator, Jenny Gleghorn, at 609-296-2701.
