Plans to deepen the shipping channel near the WestRock paper mill are moving forward, with both the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Florida Department of Environmental Protection throwing in their support.
“The Corps draft has been approved and is now in public comment,” Port Panama City Director Wayne Stubbs said last week. “And the DEP has issued a permit for the deepening of the channel.”
