After more than two decades, the Shark River dredging project is moving forward and bids are likely to be received this fall. We have funding, drying sites, and will be dredging the entirety of the Shark River’s state navigational channels.
There are many moving parts to this effort as many federal, county, state and local agencies and elected officials are involved. For any resident that has questions, please feel free to call my office — I have been doing my best to ensure accurate information is available to residents. As part of that effort, I would like to correct several comments made in the July 7 oped “Save the Shark River — all of it.”
