French grain terminal operator Senalia considers a creation of a port complex in Ukraine and plans to complete creation of a joint logistics company in Algeria in 2019. Senalia is the largest grain operator in the northern French port Rouen, the main export hub of the leading grain producing country of the European Union, reports UkrAgroConsult.
However, Senalia also wants to gain a foothold abroad, including Ukraine, which has increased its share in the global market. In Ukraine, Senalia began the initial stage of negotiations with grain cooperatives regarding an establishment of a joint grain terminal at the firth of the Dnieper river on the Black Sea coast.
In 2018 USPA provided dredging in six ports
In 2018, SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA) provided dredging in six ports and four channels. In particular, two important stages of capital dredging in Yuzhny and Chornomorsk ports were completed. Moreover, depth maintenance work in Berdyansk, Izmail, Mariupol and Kherson ports is being performed.
According to USPA, in 2019, overall dredging will reach 16.335 million cubic meters, including the volume of capital dredging – 7.455 million cubic meters, operational dredging in seaports and canals – 7.88 million cubic meters, dredging on inland waterways – 1 million cubic meters.
