Sea Isle City, NJ Submits Application for Permit to USACE for Dredging Project

Posted on September 15, 2020

Sea Isle has submitted an application to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a permit to perform hydraulic and mechanical dredging within Ludlam Thorofare, as well as within the City lagoon system. Mayor Leonard Desiderio, in a message on the city’s website, said the city is awarding a project to perform maintenance dredging its marina and lagoon areas and that the project will also allow property owners along Venicean Road and in the area of 38th and Sounds Avenue to “piggyback onto the project and get their private slip areas dredged.”

The Corps of Engineers is soliciting comments on the project. The complete Public Notice, including Permit Application Plans, may be reviewed on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers web site, as well as the City of Sea Isle City web site.
