Posted on May 27, 2020

The Swedish Coast Guard has awarded a satellite services contract with the aim of making its operations more efficient.

NSSLGlobal Aps, part of global satcom and IT solutions provider NSSLGlobal, has won a long-term framework contract to supply the Swedish Coast Guard with VSAT satellite, installation and support services provided on NSSLGlobal’s world-class VSAT network and SAILOR VSAT antennas.

Nikolaj Hvegholm, CEO of NSSLGlobal Aps, said: “The award to NSSLGlobal follows a competitive tender procedure, conducted by the Swedish Coast Guard, with strong competition from other industry players and emphasises that our continued focus and investment in our global secure network is something that customers appreciate and will benefit from.”

The contract runs for four years with the option to extend for an additional three years.

“We are proud that our Danish team has been awarded the contract with the Swedish Coast Guard and look forward to building the relationship with the customer,” said Sally-Anne Ray, group CEO of NSSLGlobal. “The NSSLGlobal team in Denmark and across the Group will be committed to provide the absolute best service and support for the Swedish Coast Guard in their important operations, while providing the highest possible standards in reliability, performance and security.”
