After 22 long days, the sand pumping and dredging in Rehoboth Beach has finished and the work is just getting started in Dewey.
According to the Cape Gazette, the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company has completed their work in Rehoboth and our now working in Dewey.
The total amount of sand pumped in Rehoboth was 384,000 cubic yards and Dewey is set for 269,000.
Dredging and sand pumping in Dewey began December 13. The work is expected to be completed within the next week.
