San Jacinto Emergency Dredge Reaches Midpoint

Posted on February 25, 2019

The West Fork of the San Jacinto River FEMA funded Emergency Debris Removal project near Kingwood, Texas has reached its halfway mark of completion. The project has dredged approximately 805,000 cubic yards of material to date, and nearly 300 tons of debris such as trees, and other material. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-April. Over 1.8 million cubic tons of material is forecasted to be removed during the operations. The public is asked not to enter the dredged material placement areas and remain clear of operational dredges within the river.
