On Wednesday 26 August, we proudly celebrated the naming ceremony of TSHD MAGDALENA at Nam Trieu Shipyard in Vietnam. This marks an important milestone in the construction of this custom-built dredger for Baggerbedrijf De Boer B.V. – Dutch Dredging.
The ceremony brought together representatives from De Boer – Dutch Dredging, Nam Trieu Shipyard, Royal IHC and local suppliers, reflecting the strong collaboration behind this project.
The MAGDALENA will have a hopper capacity of 2,300 m³ and an overall length of 79.95 metres.
With the naming ceremony completed, the project continues to progress towards the next phases, including commissioning and testing, ahead of the vessel’s planned delivery later this year. A big thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and commitment in reaching this milestone.
