From urgent request to offshore deployment in 31 days!
When a critical 220 kV export cable failed – impacting a third of a major UK wind farm – the response needed to be fast.
Off the coast of Peterhead, Scotland, DOF led the emergency repair project that demanded fast mobilisation and minimal downtime. Royal IHC was proud to support the project with a 15-tonne breakback tensioner from our rental fleet, deployed at short notice to prevent any delays and with full operator support.
From initial scoping to on-site operations, our team worked closely with DOF to make sure they had the right equipment exactly when it was needed.
Projects like this are a powerful reminder of why fast and flexible mobilisation makes all the difference.
With the new section of cable now installed and reconnected to the grid, we extend a huge well done to everyone involved in making this project a success.
