With great enthusiasm, we announce the launch of the Dutch Naval Design project LARS for USV. A consortium led by IHC Defence will develop Launch and Recovery technology for the USV.
In addition to Royal IHC, the consortium includes leading parties from the defence industry: Marin, Damen Naval, Demcon, and Fugro, all of whom have an extensive track record in the field of Naval ships and USVs. Together with these partners, we will develop the technology required to successfully and safely launch and recover the USV automatically, even in higher sea states.
