Work to benefit the Rochester economy is now complete in Rochester.
More than $2 million of your money funded dredging of the Rochester Harbor. The Army Corps of Engineers announced the project is complete.
The dredging ensures that the lake is sustainable but also allows larger boats carrying supplies into the harbor. One company that brings supplies into the harbor says that dredging provides a major role in economic development.
“Without EssRoc in this market, the cement would come here from much greater distance, drive up the cost of construction, and impact the local economy and the number of projects that could be completed,” said Brian Costenbader, VP of Logistics, EssRoc.
The Army Corps of Engineers completed the harbor dredging ahead of schedule and under budget.
