Talk of “bad” sand, steep beach entranceways and the grain quality of sand dominated the recent meeting of
Local officials said they – like a member of the public – would ask questions and ultimately keep tabs on the project as it moved closer to the borough, but reassured residents that the project has been a success in other island communities such as Surf City, where beach entrances are easy to access and sand has returned to its soft, white texture.
