Repair Dredging Performed by Rosmorport in 2017 Exceeded 9.5M cbm

The scope of dredging works performed by FSUE Rosmorport at access canals and in water areas of Russia’s seaports exceeded 9.5 mln cbm in 2017, says the company.

The bulk of works was performed at Volga-Caspian canal (4.5 mln cbm), Kaliningrad canal (1.25 mln cbm), Azov-Don canal (0.5 mln cbm), Taganrog access canal (1.25 mlln cbm). Besides, Rosmorport performed dredging works at the ports of Arkhangelsk, Makhachkala, Tuapse, Temryuk, Yeisk, Kavkaz, Shaktersk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk.

In 2017, the fleet of Rosmorport dredged 6.4 mln cbm of material.

In November 2017, Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard (Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia) laid down a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) 2000 of DAMEN design for FSUE Rosmorport. Besides, the shipyard is building two self-propelled hopper barges with 600-cbm holds for the company.
