‘Reach’ Reviews Dredging of River Jhelum

‘Reach Dredging Ltd’ which is busy in dredging the river Jhelum from Srinagar to Baramulla, Tuesday held meetings to review the progress of the work of dredging at various places.

Managing Director ‘Reach’ Sunil Patwari convened the meetings at Srinagar and Baramulla, a statement said.

Representatives from various associated agencies and the officials of ‘Reach Dredging Ltd’ including project head were present in the meetings.

Patwari hailed the support from government and the concerned departments. Officials briefed Patwari about the ongoing work.

Reach Dredging Limited Company has dredged 2.28 lakh cubic meters out of 4.05 lakh cubic meters target in Sopore, 0.83 lakh cubic meters in Baramulla town against 5.10 lakh cubic meters target, 0.93 cubic meters in Peerzo Srinagar out of 4.30 lakh cubic meters target and 1.70 lakh cubic meters in Panzinara against target of 2.72 lakh cubic meters.

Div Com Kashmir directed the concerned the Company officials to work round the clock with dedication so that dredging process is completed in the time frame besides instructed them to deploy additional machines in Baramulla to complete the dredging of the river at earliest.
