Port Houston continues to expand its operational capacity with the addition of new ship-to-shore (STS) cranes.
A total of 8 new STS cranes are soon to arrive at Bayport and Barbours Cut Container Terminals in Q1 2026. These cranes are part of ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and support growing volumes. Once the new cranes are in place, our container terminals will have a total of 35 STS cranes. This marks a significant step forward as we continue to improve our ability to accommodate larger vessels and increasing cargo demand.
