Port Authority Initiates Design Work

The Port St. Joe Port Authority recently took the next step in developing the Port of Port St. Joe.

The Port Authority board officially entered into a joint participation agreement (JPA) with Hatch Mott MacDonald engineers and the Florida Department of Transportation.

The agreement is for Hatch Mott to initiate the work on the design of the infrastructure for sites to handle the spoil produced by the dredging of the federally-authorized shipping channel.

Hatch Mott will do the work in two phases and will not begin the second phase until the Port Authority has provided the notice to proceed, which the board did on the first phase.
