Point Richards boat ramp is scheduled to re-open this afternoon following dredging to improve access at the Bellarine ramp.
A cutter suction dredge has been operating yesterday and today to remove material from inside the harbour area and at the entrance, thanks to a grant funded by your boating licence and rego fees.
The ramp will re-open once work is complete this afternoon so you can enjoy a late arvo fish and head out across the weekend.
Ramp manager Bellarine Bayside is overseeing the work, made possible through a Recreational Boating Grant.
Work will continue outside the harbour next week, with no impacts to boating access, but skippers are reminded to navigate with caution while the dredge remains in the area.
To stay up to date you can view the live ramp camera at www.boating.vic.gov.au or on the Boating Vic app.
