A weather forecast that calls for a few days of relatively calm water in the Gulf of Mexico is probably unfathomable for the Weeks Marine staff.
The dredging company hired to renourish Pensacola Beach is still in the process of completing the pipeline to dredge sand from the same 137-acre borrow area as the 2002-03 and 2005-06 restoration projects.
“The forecast looks favorable for them to work offshore for next several days with intent to complete subline placement up to the borrow pit,” said Buck Lee, Santa Rosa Island Authority executive director.
