Recently christened and ready to work, the MV Olive Parker is one tough towboat. Built in 2021 by C & C Marine in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, she measures 147.5 feet long and 34 feet wide, and is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516 engines pushing 4,400 horsepower through Reintjes reduction gears.
You’ll find her and her crew hard at work along the Black Warrior, Warrior-Tombigbee, and Tennessee Rivers, moving export coal, steel, and grain that keep industry rolling. Strong, steady, and built to last, the Olive Parker is a perfect example of Parker Towing’s commitment to keeping America’s rivers (and commerce) moving.
