DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – An online public meeting will be held on Wednesday concerning a planned beach nourishment project on Park Point.
The meeting is hosted by the City of Duluth and the U-S Army Corps of Engineers starting at 6:30 p-m.
A presentation on the Duluth-Superior Harbor maintenance dredging and beach nourishment project will begin the meeting.
About 50 thousand cubic yards of material will be dredged from navigational channels and placed on beach areas from the canal to about 12th Street on Park Point.
The project will help erosion control and protect structures, trees and vegetation along that portion of the beach.
A question and answer period is also scheduled.
