A combined virtual /face-to-face tabletop exercise was held at the Ross County, Ohio Emergency Management Agency Office to discuss emergency response to a flood scenario associated with Paint Creek Dam. The exercise combined a realistic scenario with a stress-free environment that fostered a creative and positive dialogue between USACE and stakeholders that will aid in effective emergency action planning.
The emergency exercise was conducted in accordance with EC 1110-2-6075 with key technical input from Huntington District Operations Division and Engineering and Construction Division.
The 31 participants identified critical needs and capability limits, and brainstormed potential solutions to identified issues that can be used to refine USACE notification and coordination procedures.
