The Da Nang People’s Committee has recently approved the investment policy for dredging the regulating lake at the Thanh Nien (Youth) Park, aimed at improving the landscape, ensuring water storage capacity, and regulating drainage during the rainy season.
According to Decision No. 1596/QD-UB dated May 22, 2025 of the municipal People’s Committee approving the investment policy for the project on dredging mud in the regulating lake area of Thanh Nien Park in Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District, and Hoa Cuong Nam Ward, Hai Chau District.
The project has a total investment capital of VND 17.4 billion, VND 13.6 billion of which is the construction cost. It will be carried out during the 2025-2027 period.
Under the project, about 70,850m2 of the lake bottom will be dredged with the volume of dredged sludge of 40,747m3. The dredged sludge will be transported to Ho Chuon quarry, Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District. Additionally, about 1,625m2 of the embankment around the lake area will be renovated and reinforced.
The purpose of the project is to ensure water storage capacity, regulate drainage during the rainy season, solve water pollution, and improve the landscape at the Thanh Nien Park.
The Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works in Da Nang is assigned to manage and implement the project.
