What do our fabrication managers do? We asked Olga Alieksieienko.
At Baltica 2 in Poland, Olga helps to deliver 1.5 GW by the end of 2027. But before any component is installed in the Baltic Sea this spring, it must go through a thorough inspection process to confirm that it meets our strict requirements for quality and safety.
That’s why Olga and her team are currently verifying one of the most critical elements of the project: the monopile foundations. Here, ultrasonic testing plays a key role in the non-destructive tests, allowing the team to specifically assess the quality and strength of the welds.
At the same time, just as a wind farm is made up of many moving parts, it also relies on close collaboration between a wide range of people to keep the project moving forward. As a result, Olga not only oversees construction and quality testing at every stage, she also works actively to build a strong sense of cooperation between contractors and internal specialists:
“The most important thing when cooperating with suppliers is to build trust, clear communication, and mutual respect. This will benefit both sides and lead to great success.”
