Ørsted Hosts Offshore Wind MBA Students for Study Visit in Esbjerg

Posted on April 13, 2026

In Esbjerg, Denmark, one of the most important offshore wind hubs in Europe, we were excited to host students from the Executive Offshore Wind MBA programme at the Offshore Wind Energy Centre (CMEW UMG) at Gdynia Maritime University in Poland.

We’ve partnered with the programme for four years now to ensure that students have access to practical knowledge and direct contact with experts working on the delivery and operation of offshore wind farms. The annual study visit to Esbjerg is an important part of this collaboration.

At our large-components warehouse, the students saw first-hand how the logistics facilities support our wind farms across Europe. Here, Henrik Egholm talked about the global scale of Ørsted’s activities, the Polish market, and the progress of the Baltica 2 project – the largest offshore wind farm currently under construction in Poland, delivered jointly with PGE.

In the second part of the visit, the students visited our spare-parts warehouse, where tower sections and turbine blades are stored – crucial for the reliable operation of offshore wind farms.

Today, developing the offshore wind sector requires not only technical competence but also leaders and managers who understand the complexity of offshore wind projects – from logistics and contracting to safety, regulations, and operations.

With more than 30 years of experience in offshore wind, we’re pleased to support the Executive Offshore Wind MBA programme.
