Celebrating our service operation vessel (SOV) fleet expansion in Germany: Welcome to the Wind of Hope 🚢

The service operation vessel the Wind of Hope recently joined the Wind of Change to support our offshore wind farms Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3. After five successful years serving our wind farms on the UK east coast, the Wind of Hope now proudly serves as a floating home for technicians at our offshore wind farms in Germany.

These sibling vessels are 84 metres long and designed around safety, comfort, and efficiency at sea so our technicians can focus on keeping wind turbines turning. Both vessels dock at the port of Emden every two weeks throughout the year for crew rotations and to load equipment.

We celebrated this milestone at our recent Family Day in Emden, where colleagues and their loved ones stepped aboard, toured the vessels, and got a first-hand look at life offshore.

A big thank you to everyone who joined the Family Day and to our teams across Norden-Norddeich and Emden for making it all possible.
