Our Pinellas Bayway Bridge Replacement project in Florida featured the construction of a state-of-the-art 65-foot clearance high-level bridge, replacing two older bascule bridge structures. This initiative also included extending enhancements to Interstate 275’s shoulders and drainage system. Recognized for excellence with both the FICE Award and FTBA Best in Construction Major Bridge Award in 2015, this project raised the bar for infrastructure development.
Project Highlights:
- Constructed a new 65′ clearance high-level bridge structure
- New bridge spans .493 miles on SR 682
- Demolished two existing bascule bridge structures
- Improved .815 miles of roadway on SR 682
- Enhanced shoulder and drainage system on Interstate 275
