As a partner with the Port Of Galveston Authority , we are constructing over 1,000 LF of new combi-wall to enclose the slip between the Pier 39/40 T-head and Pier 41 as part of the West End Slip Fill Phase II project.
Here’s what the scope looks like:
- (108) 66” x 1.25” x 113’ pipe piles—each weighing 100,000 lbs—form the new wall
- (18) 42” x 0.75” x 150’ pipe piles installed on a 1:1 batter as tie backs
- (76) 3.5” diameter tie back rods, 120’ each
- Selective demolition of the 39/40 T-head and Pier 41
- Over 40,000 CY of backfill going into the slip
- 13,000 SY of paving by our Orion Concrete team
