Oregon’s Army Corps of Engineers will have adequate funding for dredging projects on the coast.
Last week, Governor Kate Brown and Democratic Representative Peter DeFazio helped allocate more than $85 million needed to keep coastal waters navigable. Dredging is the removal and redistribution of underwater sediment to beaches or jetties. Michelle Helms is a spokeswoman for the Oregon Army Corps of Engineers.
