The Santa Cruz Port District’s old dredge, the Seabright, has been disassembled and trucked away after being decommissioned and put up for sale at $10,000 as salvage material in June.
The dredge was purchased by Camenzind Dredging of Palo Alto for $5,000. Camenzind plans to reassemble and put Seabright back in service as part of its fleet.
The port district replaced the Seabright in July with new custom-built $5 million dredge Twin Lakes.
