A global renewable energy business will join an existing consortium of to prepare a joint bid for the ScotWind tender recently launched by Crown Estate Scotland.
BayWa r.e. has signed an exclusive agreement to join the consortium of floating wind company, Ideol, and offshore wind farm developer and Belgian North Sea operator, Elicio, to develop the bid. BayWa r.e. brings significant project development and asset management skills and presence in Scotland to the consortium.

Operating in the UK renewable energy sector since 2010, BayWa r.e. is a global renewable energy developer, distributor and energy solutions provider that has installed more than 3GW of wind and solar projects worldwide and is the operator of a further 8.3GW. Its development portfolio includes +12GW globally.
Ideol has had two full-scale floating wind turbines operating in France and Japan since 2018 and has a 30 MW pre-commercial project in the final consenting phase (EolMed / France). Several commercial-scale projects centred around Ideol’s Damping Pool technology are currently under development across the globe.
Elicio has been active in the development of offshore wind projects for more than a decade and owns significant shareholdings in the Belgian offshore wind projects Norther (370MW), Rentel (309 MW) and SeaMade (487MW). The company operates more than 32 onshore wind farms in Europe.
