CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – On Monday, officials will begin filling Kent Park Lake in Johnson County after more than a year of work.
This is part of a nearly $3 million restoration project to improve the natural purification system.
This includes dredging, building fish reefs, new sand for the beach and new catch basins. The trails and roads to this area are not finished yet.
The project is expected to wrap up by the end of summer.
