Officials Get Update on Bronka Dredging

The Chairman of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Mrs. Valentina Matvienko, and Deputy Minister of Transport, Mr. Victor Olersky, held a working visit to the Multipurpose Sea Cargo Complex Bronka last week.

Within the working visit framework, the management of MSCC Bronka project realizing company Fenix LLC, gave the guests a presentation concerning construction status of the approach channel, aquatorium, onshore infrastructure, and preparation for launching of MSCC Bronka Phase 1.

Aleksei Shukletsov, Executive Director of Fenix LLC, informed the delegation that the scope of dredging performed by China Communications Construction Company Ltd (????) at the water area and the approach canal of the Marine Multipurpose Complex Bronka from the beginning of 2015 totaled 2.6 mln cbm.

Shukletsov added that the total scope of dredging to be performed during the navigation period of 2015 is to exceed 13 mln cbm to ensure the depth of the approach canal and the water area of MMPK Bronka of up to 14.4 m, thus making Bronka a deepwater port of Saint-Petersburg.
