Nine companies have submitted bids to participate in an open tender to carry out dredging works at the approaching channel of the Chornomorsk port (Odesa region) to 16 meters deep.
The press service of the Ukrainian Sea Port Authority reported that the bids were opened on August 16 in the ProZorro e-procurement system.
The bids were submitted by Ukrbudservice LLC, Novadeal Ltd., Inflot-Danubius Agency private enterprise, Ligos UA LLC, Jan De Nul n.v., VO Ukraine subsidiary, China Harbour Engineering company Ltd., Komunecoressources municipal enterprise and Ukrzviazokhydrobud LLC.
“The dredging project is aimed at creating optimal condition for allowing modern bulker ships with deadweight of up to 80,000 tonnes and container ships of Post Panamax Plus. The project would allow providing for proper conditions for operators and open prospects for further development,” Head of the Ukrainian Sea Port Authority Raivis Veckagans said.
It is planned that dredging works will be carried out in 2017. The expected cost is UAH 91.8 million. The dredging volume is 504,400 cubic meters.
The prequalification of the bidders is underway. Then the ProZorro system would select the winner.
