As part of a consenting strategy, approved principally by Transport Scotland, Aberdeen Harbor has submitted applications for consent in support of their potential expansion plans into Nigg Bay.
The applications seek to gain statutory approvals for the project as part of three consenting regimes: from Transport Scotland, in the form of a Harbor Revision Order, from Marine Scotland, as Marine Licenses, and from Aberdeen City Council as Planning Permission in Principle.
All three of the regulatory bodies involved are now involved in public consultation on these various applications.
Meanwhile, the Aberdeen Harbor Expansion Project Evironmental Impact Assessment (including Non-Technical Summary) has been put out for public display for the next six weeks at the Aberdeen Maritime Museum and Torry Public Library.
