New SediCon equipment in Panama!

Posted on August 24, 2021

SediCon has successfully installed and tested a 200 mm SediCon Dredge in Paso Ancho Hydropower Plant, located in Volcan, Panama.

The daily regulation pond has an average income of 25,000 m3 of sediments every year. Such sediments must be carefully removed to avoid damage in the PE lining and to reduce turbine wear.

The supplied SediCon Dredge was able to remove the sediments in the pond, including rocks up to 160 mm, with a measured capacity during tests of more than 40 m3 of sediments every hour.

This is the first SediCon equipment installed at Panama.
