Posted on August 1, 2025

Kenmare Resources Plc‘s new hashtagdredge fleet has arrived at its Moma hashtagtitanium minerals mine in Mozambique, the Dublin-headquartered company announced today (July 28).

The second 62m long, 1160t vessel arrived at Moma on July 26, a week after the first vessel landed on July 18.

The two new dredges, built by Dutch shipwrights Royal IHC, will now be moved from the beach landing near hashtagMoma‘s port overland by road using self-propelled modular transporters to the staging pond alongside the mining pond at hashtagNamalope.

Kenmare operates three wet concentrator plants (WCPs) at Moma that process the dredged and mined hashtagore sand, separating the heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) from the waste silica sand and clay.

The new dredges will operate at the largest of Moma’s three wet concentrator plants (WCPs), the 3,250tph WCP A, which will have the locus of its operations moved from the Namalope ore zone to the hashtagNataka ore zone in the coming two years.
